the last week

yep the last week was nuts, with the lead up to chrissy and all. I spent 3 whole days on my bum, on a lounge listening to Jurassic Park 1,2 & 3 no watching mind you as I was busy stitching. I would tell hubby every afternoon that I'd stitched all day and indeed I had, I was attempting my second only cross stitch project, the first being a motif for a card. So this was a rather ambitious next project to say the least especially as it was to be hubby's chrissy present.........agh it had to be perfect, no pressure mind you. By the end I couldn't hold a needle if I tried and went to bed with aching hands and arms, but it was worth it. When we had chrissy tree on the day in question the delight on his face was all that I needed to know I'd done good. I knew he'd love it.................see pic ..........toodle pip

a day in the oven

well what a day it's been today 35 degrees C and 40 C in my studio...........ugh! Think I will move for the summer to the room  under the house. Despite the ugliness of the heat I have made some Chrissy presents to post of to rellies and because I couldn't think of anything else they're getting a diary with a really nice cover. The orange one is for my sister and the 2 blue ones are for my mum and mum inlaw. So that's it short and sweet.........toodle pip

todays news

hey i'm off and running well of sorts today is the first day of my very own blog...funny word blog. I'll keep things short and sweet, true to my nature.
Today I'm off to Fibres and Fabrics Christmas party dress up, going as a slayer as our letter this year is "s". It'll be great plenty of food and friends to share it with. I'm also dropping off an adorable sock monkey to Umbrella Studio for Vicki S to send to her grand daughter in China. Thats' me toodle-pip.
